Cumberland Valley Youth Basketball Association

CVYBA awards scholarships to a senior boy and a senior girl.  Award recipients must be either a CVYBA player or referee in good standing.  The scholarships are named after two of CVYBA's founders:

CVYBA Dennis Bavaria Senior Girls Scholarship

CVYBA Stephen J. Verber Senior Boys Scholarship

All scholarship applications are due February 6th.

Criteria

Write an essay using the following criteria:

1. Describe your involvement over the years with the CVYBA basketball program.
• What have you learned from this experience?
• How has your participation helped you to grow as an individual?
2. Describe your future goals.
• What do you hope to accomplish in the future?
• How do you hope to reach those goals and to fulfill your accomplishments?
3. What school activities, extra curricular activities, and community involvement have you performed/accomplished in your short adult life to date?
4. Please give an example of sportsmanship during one of your games that stands out in your mind for you.
5. How would you define teamwork and how does it apply to you?
