Resources for Coaches in CVYBA.  In twenty years the players on your CVYBA team won't remember how many victories you led them to.  They will remember how you lifted them up, made them feel good about themselves, taught them to be sportsmen/sportswomen, and shared with them the basics of a great lifetime sport.

CVYBA recognizes that the value of our basketball experience is closely hinged to the coaches that directly serve our youth.  For this reason we are very interested in helping coaches learn to coach youth basketball.  If you have any questions or ideas to improve our delivery on this goal, please contact George Behr, 580.5482.

• Players in high school are NOT evaluated since coaches are familiar with most of these players and are able to form teams with parity.
• Please make every effort to attend this mandatory evaluation. Teams are drafted and formed shortly after this session.
• Your coach will make contact as soon as possible after the teams are selected
• After the initial evaluation, travel coaches will invite all travel candidates back for a second travel team evaluation session, noted on the calendar with a '**'.

Evaluation Session Preparation

• Arrive 15 minutes early to your session to check in and receive an evaluation number.
• Do not bring any basketballs to the session.
• Come dressed and ready to play basketball.
• If possible, leave siblings at home.
• Bring your fundraiser order sheet and money
