CVYBA at the Palestra, 2/10/07, 2pm Print E-mail
Each year I make a pilgrimage to my Hoops mecca, The Palestra in Philadelphia.  A St. Joe graduate, I have found no other venue for hoops that compares with a Big Five game at the Palestra.  This year I will go see the Hawks take on LaSalle on 2/10 at 2pm.  If you're interested in joining me, read on...

Tickets will be around $25 per person, cheesesteaks will be about $7 per person.  Note that CVYBA season is in full swing, so you may have to miss a game!

Here's my annual itinerary:

  • 10am: Leave Central PA.  For whatever reason, it takes longer to get to Palestra on a weekend than during the week.
  • 2pm: Game
  • 4pm: Cheesesteak at Mama's on Belmont Ave.  Not your tourist trap cheesesteak - once you have one of these you will never want cheese wiz again!
  • 6pm: Leave Philly.
