CV 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team Wins at Palestra

The 8th Grade Girls Cumberland Valley Youth Basketball Team (CVYBA) beat St. Bernadette CYO Team 42-27 yesterday at the Palestra. The game was played just prior to the University of Pennsylvania ladies basketball game against West Point. The Palestra, known as the Cathedral of Basketball, is famous for the many college Big 5 games over the past 60 years.

Future games are scheduled at Loyola College and the University of Maryland over the next few months. Mr. Ken Batz, originally from the Harrisburg area, set up the game played at the Palestra. He is employed as the Ticket Manager for the University of Pennsylvania.
