Fall Season Registration Starts in September
Registration fees - This year’s fees will include a $45 fundraiser per family. This is necessary so we can meet our expenses for this upcoming season. We are still relying on fundraising efforts from everyone so that we can continue to purchase/replace basketballs throughout the season and to pay the pre-season bills prior to registration like basketball/scoreboard storage, and registration mailing costs. A fundraising packet with 3 cards will be mailed to you. Those 3 cards are yours to keep or resell and if you decide to sell those cards you get to keep the money. You have already paid for these 3 cards with your registration fee so there is no need to turn in $45. The only money that needs turned in is for any extra cards that you sell. This is necessary for CVYBA to continue to operate and offer the same program to all 800+ kids as we have in the past.
Travel Team tryouts– This season we will implement a $5 (non-refundable) tryout fee for players attending the Boys or Girls travel team tryouts. This fee will help CVYBA offset the extra expenses associated with travel teams. Make sure you select the correct travel team tryout on the registration form for your child.
Volunteers - The reason CVYBA is so successful is because we have an outstanding group of individuals that volunteer their time each year to CVYBA as Board Members, Age Level Coordinators, Coaches, and Team Parents. I want to personally thank everyone that’s volunteered in any capacity because it’s that dedication from you that has allowed CVYBA to reach its 25th season. If you wish to volunteer you can do so during the on line registration process.
Player Evaluations –The only player evaluations this season will be 6th grade boys and girls through 12th grade boys and girls and all of the travel teams. We will also use player evaluations from prior seasons to help form the recreation teams.
Players in grades 1 through 5 will form teams after a few weeks of open gym style practices conducted by CVYBA.
CVYBA was founded in 1990 to provide additional basketball opportunities to children in the CV school district geography. Since then CVYBA has grown to serve over 800 players and over 700 families each year.
