Travel Tryout Sessions

2023 Travel Tryout Schedule

Player must be registered with CVYBA and selected travel tryout participation to tryout. Prospective travel team players must attend one tryout session but are encouraged to attend both.  Tryouts will run from 30 to 75 minutes per session.
We will be fielding travel teams for 4th-8th grade girls and 4th-7th grade boys.  There will be no 8th grade boys travel team this year.
Tryouts will be held at Winding Creek Elementary.
  • Registration fees for 7th and 8th grade will be put towards tournament cost.
  • Registration fees for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade covers league costs.
  • Tournament fees for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade players will be additional cost.
  • Travel players will be provided with a reversible jersey and a tryout jersey.
  • On top of CVYBA registration fees, there is a $20 non-refundable fee to participate in tryouts.

CVYBA travel teams for girls grades 4th-8th and boys grades 4th-7th will be formed to compete with other school districts and in tournaments.  Middle school teams schedule around the school season (before and after) so players can participate in school and CVYBA programs.  

 

One or two travel teams will be formed per age group based on interest and age group structure.  Most teams will be competing to qualify in the Middle School State Championship Tournaments this year.  More info:

TIMES, DATES, AND LOCATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.  PLEASE CHECK SITE TO CONFIRM DETAILS PRIOR TO TRYOUT DATE.

Please arrive 20 minutes early to check-in. Players will receive a tryout jersey with a unique number at their first tryout.  Players must wear their tryout jersey over a t-shirt to all tryouts. Parents will not be permitted in the gyms during tryouts but should remain at the school if possible. Players will be divided into groups and released from the session at different times. Independent evaluators (often CV school coaches) will be used for tryouts.
